What inspired you to kickstart your fitness journey? I've literally been an athlete since my mom put me in T-ball when I was 5 (hated it BTW), but in terms of ramping up at (MDR), after I had my second child I needed to strengthen my pelvic floor and no matter what exercises I tried doing MDR was the only thing where I actually saw and felt the results.
How have you noticed yourself evolving since you started? It honestly took me so long to appreciate the method. I would come for 2-3 days a week or month when my body hurt from other exercises. I wanted to test and build myself up to come more consistently. I finally got to 7 days a week, and it's pretty much the only exercise that I practice aside from some occasional yoga and boxing.
What's been the biggest hurdle you've faced along the way? I was under a false pretense that the more I practiced the easier it would get. (it doesn't, you just refine and get stronger)
Any pearls of wisdom for those just starting out? Please be patient with yourself, listen to your instructors, and TRY, you do not have to be perfect, but strive to push yourself past your comfort zone so that you can get stronger. I promise you will not regret it.
How has your fitness journey spilled over into other aspects of your life? Although I appreciate my abs, I need physical movement for my mental health, it's literally like breathing for me. I'm an entrepreneur and fitness has helped me so much develop mental strength.
What keeps your fitness fire burning bright? I'm almost 47 (shhhhh) and I've never loved my body more. I have so much control over my core and I'm never bored with the method.
How has your mindset shifted since you began this journey? I came to this method pretty fit and strong, I never thought that I could elevate more.
